The Heartbreaking Reality in Haiti
Beyond the widespread hunger and gang violence, one of the most tragic aspects of the crisis in Haiti is what is happening to children. Armed gangs have increasingly targeted children—with reports showing thousands caught in the crossfire or forcibly recruited into gangs because they have no other way to survive or eat.
Over a million people, a huge portion of them children, have been forced to flee their homes into cramped, unsafe makeshift camps. These children have witnessed unimaginable horrors. They need immediate intervention.
